The Leylines are wrong! Part 1

Vizor requested the Ravens help him determine why the mana currents in this area have substantially shifted.

The party helped Vizor by escorting him to a low area where mana had pooled. The players defended him from a Bear attack while he investigated the anomaly. After determining that the mana pool was artificial and had been dam’ed up somewhere near by, Vizor payed the players for their service, then offered them another job to help him find the source.

After agreeing to continue helping Viezar Touqe (For a price of course) the party ventured north alongside Vizor. They found a magically hidden cave nestled in what would otherwise be considered plain sight, right where you would least expect it. Din cast detect magic and the group quickly found the entrance and moved inside.

Once inside the party encountered some bandits, one of whom they charmed and turned against his friends. After a pitched battle, only a severely wounded halfling remained. He threatened to use a strange magical device to blow them all up, but his bluff was called and he instead turned the dial on the device until he simply vanished.

With Viezar’s help they managed to find the mana dam, shut it off, and were all teleported to the silver tower to meet Nigon Flameweaver and discuss the strange disc. Viezar paid the party and they decided to stay the night in the silver tower.

Howls to the south

A whiteshield squad was lost while patrolling in the southern old woods whilst trying to find the bandits base of operations. Captain Lightblade, unwilling to send more men out of his already small pool of competent soldiers, requested the Ravens investigate

The Party ventured south into the great wood, located what looked like a massacre site, and ran into a patrol of training nalmin’s rangers when they attempted to follow the trail. Harlan managed to convince the neophyte rangers to assist in dealing with whatever had killed the whiteshields.

With the help of the ranger unit, the party was able to locate an old fortress beset upon by Giberlings, and in a pitched battle in which Dolos nearly made a valiant last stand, the party cleared the old fort out.

The Last Lieutenant

Captain Garret put up a bounty on the head of the last remaining Bandit Lieutenant.

The party ventured south east of town to an old burial mound the bandits had been seen using as a small base of operations. The party quickly disabled the only visible guard to whom, after questioning, Pate quickly delivered a painless Coup-De-Gras, much to the shock of his fellow party members. The party resolved to plugging the air vent on top of the mound, forcing out the bandits who had been cooking inside.

They quickly and near effortlessly dispatched the disoriented bandits, and returned to camp to collect their reward.

Orc Remenants

Captain Garret asked the ravens to deal with the remains of the orc war-band that had stolen a dragon egg weeks ago.

The party ventured south-west to an old redoubt which had not been used in many years. There they found the orcs resting and trying to get some sleep, after alerting the orc guards, the party engaged them in a decisive field battle, with arrows, spells, and javelins aplenty.

After clearing out the redoubt the party returned to camp for their reward.

Din took the party to meet Nigon whom asked the party to investigate and clear out Belindra Stormwater’s old Magegate.

The party agree’d and after entering the gate, quickly found the place to be occupied by numerous water elementals who all identified themselves as Typhis

After defeating the two bandits that had mistakenly activated the gate back in Belindra’s ley laboratory, they stumbled across a bound up Tatie Copperbottom to whom Din wanted to cause bodily harm.

After carrying Tatie around like a lantern and using his knowledge of the place to locate a secret room, the party found a glowing orb seemingly filled with energy, which they brought back to Nigon.

The party turned Tatie over to the Whiteshields, but not before Fin slipped him a lockpick.

Maybe You Can Help. Part 1

After discovering the orb in the magegate, and showing it to Nigon, he became visibly concerned about it. And decided he needed to have a specialist in ley energy look at it. The best mind for the job was Annastasha Tremith whom Nigon seemed to be uncomfortable with having to speak too. Instead he asked the party to go in his place, indicating her tower was located in the deep old wood south of beaton. They agreed and he marked it on the parties map, and teleport-ed them back to the ravens camp.

After a long travel south, the party located Anna’s tower, and was able to make contact with her, she seemed un interested in helping the party until they mentioned Nigon. She asked for the party to perform mundane tasks, of which the party only performed one before growing wise to her using them. Din specifically butted heads with Anna, eventually convincing her to tell them what they wanted to know.

The orb itself is a ‘ley orb’ part of a larger ‘ley weapon’ of some sort, Anna did not seem to know the specifics, but indicated there is typically a staff associated with this sort of artifact, and that either item could be extremely dangerous in the wrong hands. She seemed saddened the players would not be duped into handling her busy work any longer.

She asked the party for additional help, this time seemingly more sincere with her tasks and promising rewards, which they tentatively accepted for a later date if they find the time.

Suspicious bandits

All but eradicated by The Ravens, the bandits in the area had stopped their attacks and withdrawn to an old mine north in the mountain.

Captain Garret sent the ravens to investigate and report back, not wanting to devote any of his few soldiers in the event this was a trick.

The party ventured to the old mine, and with a little magic and a lot of luck, managed to subdue the guards without alerting the forces within.

After volunteering to stay behind alone, Pate was able to determine the bandits were being paid by Highrock soldiers of some kind to disrupt trade in the region. Armed with this knowledge the group reported back to the captain (and conscripted a new raven along the way)
